Revka Brosca is a Paragon and Senior Warden who served in the Fifth Blight, being one of four Grey Wardens to survive the Battle of Ostagar. She is also the sister-in-law to King Bhelen Aeducan of Orzammar, and founder of House Brosca.
During the Fifth Blight, she was ruthless and cutthroat, but did not have a moral compass on her own, instead relying on the guidance of those around her. While still more than willing to get her hands dirty, her time on the surface with the friends she made fighting the Fifth Blight has allowed her to feel free to make her own decisions.
Background
Revka was born in 9:09 Dragon in Dust Town, Orzammar. According to her older sister Rica, their father was of Warrior caste, and abandoned their mother Kalah after twice failing to produce a son for him. The three of them spent many years scraping by, and eventually her and Rica ended up working for the crime lord Beraht; Rica as a noble hunter, and Revka as hired muscle. Their mother resorted to drinking, often squandering what little money they would have left over from jobs. For a while, they relied on Rica bedding a noble and bearing a son as their ticket out of Dust Town.
Involvement
Origins
In 9:30 Dragon, Revka and her friend Leske were tasked by Beraht to rig a Proving tournament in his favor. Their original task went awry when they discovered the warrior Everd, Beraht's fighter, drunk and passed out in his quarters. Revka disguised herself in his armor to ensure Beraht's bids were successful, and was a powerful fighter in the Provings, but was caught after Everd drunkenly stumbled onto the tournament grounds. Revka's crime was punishable by death, and she was only saved after being consripted by Duncan into the Grey Wardens. Of those she was recruited with, only two others survived the Joining: Galeas Cousland, the Teyrn of Highever's second child, and Wyam Tabris, from the Denerim Alienage.
The same evening she participated in the Battle of Ostagar, intending to push back the growing darkspawn horde. Instead, the Grey Wardens were massacred, King Cailan Theirin was slain, and Teyrn Loghain Mac Tir had retreated to Denerim, claiming himself Regent. Revka, Alistair, and the other two recruits were the only Ferelden Grey Wardens to survive the battle after being rescued by Flemeth.
The four of them quickly set out to make use of the Grey Warden treaties and seek the aid of Arl Eamon Guerrin of Redcliffe. It is noted that they were responsible for saving the town of Redcliffe from undead, breaking the werewolf curse in the Brecilian Forest, ending an uprising in the Ferelden Circle of Magi, placing Bhelen Aeducan on the throne of Orzammar, and discovering the Urn of Sacred Ashes. After amassing enough forces to defeat the Archdemon, they set out to Denerim, where they helped Anora Mac Tir retain her title as Queen of Ferelden, and Teyrn Loghain Mac Tir was slain by Wyam in a duel.
On the eve of the Battle of Denerim, Galeas and Morrigan performed a ritual in secret that would save the life of the Grey Warden destined to slay the Archdemon. As such, Wyam survived the killing blow, and was later crowned Hero of Ferelden for his work. Revka was crowned Paragon by the Dwarven Assembly, and her sister Rica became Queen of Orzammar. In the several months after, she assisted Alistair and Galeas in exterminating the remaining darkspawn scattered across the Ferelden countryside.

Dragon Age II
Revka and Alistair are on a mission for the Grey Wardens that takes them through Kirkwall, just as the Second Qunari Invasion of Kirkwall occurs. The two encounter Aster Hawke while battling Qunari, but leave the city shortly afterwards, hoping to avoid involving the Wardens in the Qunari-Kirkwall conflict.
Inquisition
As Grey Wardens across southern Thedas begin to hear their Callings simultaneously, internal panic begins to brew. Warden-Commander Clarel calls a meeting between the Ferelden and Orlesian Grey Wardens, discussing a plan to— with the aid of Magister Livius Erimond— raise a demon army, invade the Deep Roads, and kill the Old Gods before they awake. Revka vocally dissents alongside Alistair, and the two are labeled as traitors, being forced go into hiding together. They work with Aster Hawke to get into contact with the Inquisition, as Alistair believes the Calling is being elicited by the ancient magister Corypheus.
In the Western Approach, her, Alistair, Aster, and Inquisitor Anaan Adaar scout an ancient Tevinter ritual tower to investigate a Grey Warden congregation. There, they learn that demon binding rituals Magister Erimond taught the Grey Warden mages has the side effect of enslaving them to Corypheus, who will use them to conquer Thedas. Erimond escapes to Adamant Fortress while they confront the enslaved Wardens of the tower.
Revka is also present at the Siege of Adamant Fortress, where Anaan and Alistair confront Warden-Commander Clarel and Magister Erimond. Revka remains behind, rallying the remaining loyal Grey Wardens, while Alistair is drawn into the Fade alongside Aster and Anaan. After the siege, she remains in Skyhold to spend time with Leliana, and assists the Inquisition in making contact with Wyam.
