René Jean-Michel Caron is the Warden-Constable of Ferelden.

Background

René was born in 8:77 Blessed in Val Colline, Orlais to Baroness Yvette and Baron Alphonse Caron. As the third child of a lower noble family, he was expected to find a way for himself outside of Orlesian politics. As such, he joined the Chevalier order when he was thirteen, and went to the Academie des Chevaliers in Val Royeaux. Most of his peers were of higher noble families, so he did not make many friends in the order. Regardless, he excelled significantly and surpassed many of his peers. At eighteen, he graduated from training with high honors.

Involvement

The Stolen Throne

After graduating from training, he was quickly sent eastward to assist in stamping out the Ferelden Rebellion. He served in many battles, including the First Battle of Gwaren and the Battle of River Dane. He had dueled with Loghain first-hand, describing him as a fine warrior and not an opponent to consider lightly.
